The Science Behind the Best Retinoid Cream

Understanding Retinoids

Retinoids are a class of compounds that include vitamin A (pure pharmaceutical-grade retinol) and its natural derivatives, such as retinaldehyde, retinyl esters, and retinoic acid.

How Retinoids Work on the Skin

Retinoids, particularly retinol and retinoic acid, are among the most extensively researched anti-aging ingredients. Over 40 years of independent clinical studies have confirmed their effectiveness in reducing wrinkles and other signs of aging. When applied topically, they have also been proven safe for long-term use.

Scientifically Proven Benefits of Retinoids for the Skin

  • Enhance skin cell renewal and regeneration.
  • Boost collagen production, reducing wrinkles and skin sagging.
  • Protect collagen from degradation caused by environmental factors.
  • Even out skin tone and prevent pigmentation by minimizing melanin production.
  • Function as antioxidants, neutralizing free radicals and reducing environmental skin damage from sun exposure and pollution.
